You may not know what JSON, LAMP, GNU or Postfix is, but Corey Wynsma does. As a webmaster, Corey has been a web designer and developer for close to a decade, fluent in PHP, Javascript, XHTML, CSS, among others.
Corey works as the Webmaster for WOOD TV8 in Grand Rapids, Michigan., where he has worked for since 2002. Prior to joining WOOD, he was the Creative Director and sole owner of MACHINE 616, where he served as an internet consultant to establish web presences in a cost effective manner, in addition to creating multimedia projects. Corey had also served as the Creative Director for dw2.com, working on the front-end graphic production of web, wireless, print and Palm projects, in addition to working with clients, designers, programmers and external development partners.
Journalism and media have been a guiding light in Corey’s career and have inspired him to keep him abreast of any and all issues affecting journalists.
Corey enjoys helping people find their voice online and learning the technologies needed to make them heard as loud as possible.
Corey served as a writing tutor at Grand Valley State University, where he received his undergraduate degree. He is a graduate student of the University of Nevada-Reno. He also has no cable and choses to watch those programs online, a decision covered by CNN.com
